I Am In Print

My day at Little Tiger books in October had a full schedule of talks, workshops, 121 with an Editor and a tour to end the day, which can only described as brilliant. I would like to thank Elane and Sarah who organised the entire event. They stayed nearby throughout the whole day, and ensured we had a much needed hot drink in the cafe nearby on arrival, and a lovely lunch at Little Tiger with tempting sweet yummy treats. I would also like to thank the editors Steph, Perry & Dyanni and everyone else in the Little Tiger team. Steph and Perry gave a valuable publishing world insight. As they talked l felt privileged to see the fabulous books they discussed, along with newly published books about to be distributed to bookshops. The writing workshops they provided were highly relevant and thought provoking. Along with Stephanie’s final talk about how an author can stand out from a crowd when submitting their work. The 121 session l had with Dyanni was great as she gave me fantastic tips to improve my work. During the Little Tiger tour l saw newly published books, and examples of all the stages a book takes… this can only be described as similar to the excitement of a child (with a sweet tooth) let loose in a sweet shop. Everyone was so friendly l smiled and laughed throughout the day, it was a wonderful atmosphere and it left me with memories to treasure. Little Tiger publish high quality books (embossed, gold leaf, pullout flaps etc), and it was my pleasure to spend the day in their building. So, if you are offered one of the golden ticket places, and the chance to be part of Little Tigers magical day, don’t hesitate… grab it with both hands.

The day was absolutely jam-packed with industry insights, invaluable advice and nuggets of wisdom from the Little Tiger team. A special thank you to Steph and Perry for sharing their expertise. The one-to-one sessions were incredibly helpful. I’m feeling inspired and excited to put everything I’ve learnt into practice! It was also a real pleasure to meet so many talented fellow writers. We were all made to feel so welcome and were incredibly well looked after by Sarah, Elane and the Little Tiger Team.

I very much enjoyed the day with iaminprint and Little Tiger Press. The workshops were very insightful and my one to one was extremely useful. In addition to that, the hosting was amazing, great coffee and a delicious lunch. Strongly recommended. Thank you all!

I highly recommend the I Am Writing Picture Books the Little Tiger Way. The Little Tiger team was inspiring and insightful, and I came away with tangible ways to improve my own writing. Getting advice and feedback straight from a publisher is a dream. Having attended similar workshops, I’d say this one was exceptionally well run, packed with information and ideal for picture book writers, wherever they are on their journey. And spending the day with Elane, Sarah and the other writers was a joy. Thank you!

I attended a fabulous workshop on writing children's picture books. Elane and Sarah looked after everyone so well. The team at Little Tiger were all so encouraging and enthusiastic passing useful insight and a greater understanding of the industry and how to hone our writing accordingly. I had a great feedback session with Dyanni which I am definitely taking on board. I'd love you to offer some editor sessions if that were possible.

I had a wonderful experience at the picture book workshop at Little Tiger HQ, led by editors Steph and Perry, alongside Anji and Dyanni. The sessions were incredibly helpful, in-depth and insightful, offering valuable guidance and a deeper understanding of writing for children. I also received 1-2-1 feedback on my two picture book scripts, which gave me valuable guidance on how to develop my work further. Sarah and Elaine were so accommodating, warm and lovely, making everyone feel welcome and well looked after. The food was great too! Overall, it was a truly enriching and enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend this workshop enough to anyone interested in writing for children! The best workshop I have ever attended so far.

Wow! What a thoroughly brilliant day of learning and meeting lots of interesting fellow writers😃. Having attended other workshops in the past I wasn't sure what to expect at Little Tiger and if I'd learn anything new 🤷🏻‍♀️ but boy I did! It was such a well structured and informative course, full of lots of helpful tips. It was great they way they split the day for us to experience the workshop being led by the different editors - Steph and Perry, alongside Anji and Dyanni. Such great expertise and experience oozed into our workshops from them. Thank you all! And thank you Perry for your valuable and concise 121 feedback on my two picture book scripts. It's definitely given me food for thought and along with the areas covered during the day, I feel confident to make some truly positive changes to my scripts. Thank you Elane and Sarah for all your organisation for the day, and all the lovely LT team for giving up your Friday to teach us all and share your Little Tiger world with us - I certainly felt welcomed and well looked after. I would say this is the best workshop I've attended to date!

I’ve attended several picture book courses in the past and they’ve all been worthwhile. But the picture book course I attended yesterday (Oct 15th), at Little Tiger Press, surpassed everything before. The education lessons on how to write and how to make your manuscript hit all the relevant points and peaks was first class. Superbly organised and hosted by the Iamwriting duo, Elane and Sarah, and the course itself, run by Stephanie and her able Tiger Press team, was a writer’s dream. Thank you to everyone involved including my fellow writers for making it such a special event.

And the office tour? A delight. Seeing the process behind the books, meeting the people who bring them to life, and feeling the energy of a team dedicated to creating magic for young readers. Thank you, Little Tiger Press, for a day that was uplifting, motivating, and full of creative spark. I left inspired, informed, and excited to keep growing as a picture book author.

I cannot recommend my day at Little Tiger Press enough. The day was jammed packed with industry insights and practical workshops to improve our writing and one to one feedback! From the very beginning of our session, Clare dived straight in with focused, specific feedback, first on my query letter and synopsis, and then my submission pages. Her comments and insights were so well considered and thoughtful and she gave me lots of actionable suggestions to sharpen my submission package. Thank you Clare!

I really enjoyed the workshop I attended at Little Tiger, organised by Elane and Sarah. They genuinely care about our experience. It was thoroughly planned, brilliantly executed and the day allowed us to connect as writing community which I believe is so important. Elaine and Sarah created such a welcoming, insightful, and inspiring event at Little Tiger. The most valuable part for me was hearing genuine insider knowledge from a publisher’s perspective. I can't say enough about my experience attending Little Tiger Press in London for a full-day workshop on the art of picture book writing. The presentations were insightful, informative, and engaging. We took part in challenging writing exercises and shared our work in a supportive atmosphere, and analyzing sample manuscripts was incredibly illuminating. From the moment we arrived to the final highlight of touring the press, the event was brilliantly organized!

Just spent a brilliant day at The Little Tiger Press Studios organised by the IAMINPRINT ladies Elane and Sarah. It was a really useful informative event which gave me lots to think about and many tools to make my manuscripts stronger. The whole day was well organised and Elane and Sarah go out of their way to help you in any way they can.

I Am In Print is an AMAZING service! The opportunities offered by Elane and Sarah and second to none and I am very grateful for them. My first 1:2:1, organised through them, led to a picture book contract and I have also been on a few workshops that were brilliant! My first was with author/illustrator David Litchfield and I recently had a day at Little Tiger publishing house. Both were fabulous! Grab an opportunity any time you can. I can't speak highly enough of the services offered by Elane and Sarah- they are a dream team! I have attended numerous events they have arranged, and it is clear that they genuinely care and want to help aspiring writers be able to get into print! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of their services. I particularly enjoyed the Little Tiger day which I recently attended- one of the most useful days I've spent towards progressing my writing.
